Omens

One significant portion of ADF rituals is divination. Omens are taken at a key point in each ritual. Red Maple Grove receives omens in both Nordic (runes) and Celtic (ogham) styles. Michael Demers, our first Senior Druid performed the divination at our first official ritual Midsummer 1999 held at the Tree Ring.

Red Maple Grove has been favoured with some keen students of divination, including Michael Demers, Heather Chapelle, Farrell McGovern, and Michael McKenny. Heather has written an outstanding work on ogham. Michael McKenny's material on divination can be found at the Solarguard web site.

necessity to tidy up, cleanse, purify, sweep away the unnecessary or
